Jane! I love your answer, but Sarah and Meg nailed it: chalkboard! This was sitting in my parents basement being unused, so I asked if I could use it and they obligingly said yes. I told them:
Every artist's kitchen needs one. Right? Am I right here?
Now... don't freak out, but this is probably one of the strangest/not so pleasant things I've done in a while.

It involved this guy.... a jug of molasses, some rotten bananas, old carrots & their tops..... and the glorious Vita Mixer, which is an industrial blender, the kind you'd heard at a coffee shop. It is really loud and makes your smoothie in about 5 seconds.
Any guesses as to what I was making? Here's a hint: it wasn't too eat, and it involves my job (think job title).
Here's another clue...
I will let you know soon.... oh the suspense.

did you steal the Bean's old vita mix?? If so: well done. If not: damn, I knew I should've taken it. Fertilizer.
I was just thinking the other day about how handy a little tractor with a water dispenser and loading wheels would be. And I was also remembering how I reaked of garlic for days after being in the apples.
Are you going on any road trips this summer? Is there any possibility you can get close to me?
Hot Compost!
i read the post about the chalkboard a few hours after painting a 5' by 8' rectangle of chalkboard paint with my roommate on his wall. glad to know that we are operating on the same brainwave...
speaking of that, i'll be in luverne next weekend, i trust that i'll be able to see you then a bunch?r
See you in a couple. :)
I wish the soil in Albuquerque looked remotely related to that black stuff...
Eric majored in art...and he uses our Vita Mix just about every day for green smoothies. (hold the fish)
Very tasty! (and often very green)
